Pingao fibre (ficinia spiralis)

A kete, or basket, made by contemporary Māori artist Michelle Mayn. This kete was brought to us in excellent condition, but requiring a mount for ongoing display. Together with the client, we designed and made a custom mount from coated Tasmanian oak.
